You are writing a comment about Creating my Dream Server for Django, here is a quick summary:
Recently I redid my server to have a solid Django serving atmosphere: apache2, Python 2.5, memcached, lighttpd for serving static media. These are the cleaned up and formatted notes I used to guide myself through the installation process on my 256 meg SliceHost slice.

Hi guys. I recently published a tutorial on how to setup Apache, mod_python and a reverse proxy to Lighttpd for Django on Ubuntu.
This one is a little more focused on the web servers and proxy configuration but you could add all the other components you may need.
I'm also using Apache in front of Lighttpd, is that such a bad thing?
Thanks all for sharing your knowledge, specially you Will :)
