I had the media problem refered to above. But I didn't have ADMIN_MEDIA_ROOT defined, rather ADMIN_MEDIA_PREFIX set to "/media/". Changing that to "/amedia/" - while keeping the settings for MEDIA_ROOT and MEDIA_PREFIX defined in the tutorial - allowed the server to load /media/style.css
